A thank-you lands best on a day that is already there. Tell us when it falls and we make sure it arrives in time — from five boxes, with your logo on the card.
Your occasion not listed? Let us know. Four weeks' notice is enough; for custom contents we start from ten boxes.
Price estimate
Slide and choose; you see an estimate straight away. The final price arrives by email within one working day, with the contents.
Estimate excluding VAT. The rules: delivery within the Randstad to one address is included from 10 boxes, below 10 it is € 15 per trip; outside the Randstad we deliver ourselves from 25 boxes (included), below that it is € 7.50 per shipping carton (10 small thank-yous, 4 boxes or 3 Christmas boxes per carton); volume discount 5% from 25 and 10% from 100; the deluxe version (thank-you box and Christmas box) is a fixed surcharge. Above 250 boxes we quote a custom price.
How it works
From 5 boxes. You send your logo, or the name and the text that should go on the card.
With the contents, the card as it will look and the delivery date. On approval you pay half up front.
From Dutch makers we name by name, with a contents card listing allergens and shelf life in every box.
Within the Randstad we bring it ourselves, to one address on the agreed day. Beyond that we ship per carton.
The makers
No wholesale box, but products from small Dutch makers we know and visit. Their story is on the contents card in every box, so the recipient knows who made it and where. These are the makers we work with:
Honey from their own hives, South Holland
Bijenbaas keeps bees in its own hives, in Noordwijk, Streefkerk and Dalem among other places. Every batch of honey can be traced back to the hive it came from, and we put that on the contents card: the recipient knows not only that it is Dutch honey, but which bees made it.
Jasper van den Burg's brewery, The Hague
Eiber is an old Dutch word for the stork, the bird on The Hague's coat of arms. Jasper van den Burg brews on the sixth floor of The New Farm on Televisiestraat, the highest brewery in the Netherlands, and every beer refers to a piece of the city. De Baron, for example, is a dark beer with coffee roasted in The Hague, a tribute to the inventor of the Haagsche Hopje sweet.
Joël and Alicia Wiersma, Escamplaan, The Hague
A cheese shop with a living-room feel on Escamplaan, run by Joël and Alicia Wiersma since 2018. They buy their cheese directly from farms across the country and had their own cheese matured: De Parel van Den Haag, creamy, with small crystals and a nutty taste, with the stork on the label. They roast the nuts themselves in the shop.
Chocolatier Richard Omtzigt, Houtwijk, The Hague
Richard Omtzigt trained as a pastry chef and has worked with chocolate since 1994. In 2003 he opened his own chocolaterie on Dekkershoek. Every chocolate is made there by hand from Callebaut chocolate, and the box carries his own sticker: you know exactly who made them.
Candle maker Theodora, Zeeheldenkwartier, The Hague
Theodora pours her candles and wax melts by hand, in small batches. Wabi sabi is the Japanese idea that beauty lies in imperfection, and that is how her candles look: no two are exactly alike. Her work could be found this year in the Lush bazaar on Spuistraat; now she is opening her own shop on Zoutmanstraat. Her motto: one scent brings back a thousand memories.
Esther Pot's soap workshop, The Hague
A social enterprise founded in 2021 by Esther Pot. In The Beautiful Unseen's soap workshops, women working towards a new start make natural soap by hand: a safe place to learn, grow and take part again. Every bar of soap in a Met Dank box helps pay for someone's next step.

For your accountant
Your accountant's questions, answered in advance.
Designate it as final-levy wages and it falls within the free allowance of the Dutch work-related costs scheme (WKR): 2% of the payroll up to € 400,000 and 1.18% above that. Within that allowance nobody pays tax on it. We put the value including VAT per box on the invoice, exactly what your accountant needs.
Business gifts count as advertising costs. The VAT is deductible as long as you stay under € 227 per recipient per year. Our thank-you boxes stay well below that.
9% and 21% VAT itemised separately (food and drink at the low rate, the rest at the high rate), delivery on its own line, payment term 14 days.

FAQ
Thank-you boxes, small thank-yous and welcome boxes within 5 to 10 working days after approval. Christmas gift boxes are delivered from 7 to 18 December; you can order until 6 November, after that subject to availability.
Five per order; the small thank-you from ten. For a custom box (different contents, another budget, an event) ten. Printed items such as pens and lanyards with your logo from 50; a mug and water bottle with your logo already from 5.
Yes, every box is available without alcohol. The price is in your quote. Boxes with beer or wine are only delivered to a business address; the employer or tradesperson hands them out. The thank-you box for private clients is always alcohol-free.
On the back of every card it says "Happy with the job? Scan and leave a review for [your company]" with a QR code to your Google review page (or Werkspot, Trustpilot, whatever you use). Your client scans it the moment they unpack the gift; that is exactly when people write reviews. You send us the link, we put it on. If you would rather not have a QR code, we leave it off.
Preferably as a vector file (PDF, SVG, AI or EPS). Only have a jpg or png? Send it over; for a simple logo we make a clean print-ready version at no extra charge. For a complex logo we discuss it first.
The contents are in your quote. All food is pre-packaged with the maker's label; every box contains a contents card with allergens and the shortest best-before date. Met Dank is registered as a food trader with the Dutch food safety authority (NVWA).
For a one-off order you pay 50% on approving the quote and the remainder within 14 days after delivery. For a standing order (thank-you boxes per month, welcome boxes on demand) we invoice monthly in arrears, only what went out the door. You always receive an invoice with VAT split into 9% and 21% and the value including VAT per box.
Yes. From 25 boxes we also deliver outside the Randstad ourselves to one address, included. Smaller orders are shipped to a business address for € 7.50 per shipping carton; a carton holds 10 small thank-yous, 4 thank-you or welcome boxes, or 3 Christmas boxes. Glass goes in protective packaging. Within the Randstad we bring it ourselves to one address; from 10 boxes that is included, below that € 15 per trip.
Gladly. Tradespeople take a fixed number of thank-you boxes per month for their completed jobs, and companies with staff turnover have welcome boxes packed on demand. You then pay monthly in arrears.
