How we work together

These terms apply to orders placed with Met Dank, Dutch Chamber of Commerce no. 88840174, VAT no. NL004661597B43, Antheunisstraat 148, 2522 ZJ Den Haag (no visiting address, by appointment only).

Business only

Met Dank supplies businesses and organisations only. The quote and invoice state your company name and Chamber of Commerce number. The consumer right of withdrawal does not apply.

Quote and order

A request via the site is not yet an order. You receive a quote with price, contents, quantity and delivery date; it is valid for 14 days. The order is final once you approve it and, for a one-off order, the deposit has been paid. For a standing order (monthly or on demand) we record the arrangement in the quote and invoice monthly in arrears.

Prices and payment

Prices on the site are excluding VAT, because we only supply businesses; the quote also shows the amount including VAT. The invoice itemises 9% and 21% VAT separately and delivery on its own line, with the value including VAT per box. Payment is by bank transfer against invoice, without payment charges. For a one-off order you pay 50% on approval; the remainder within 14 days after delivery. For a standing order you pay within 14 days of the monthly invoice. Late payment incurs the Dutch statutory commercial interest and statutory collection costs. Delivery within the Randstad to one address is included from 10 boxes and costs € 15 per trip below that; outside the Randstad we deliver ourselves from 25 boxes to one address (included) and ship below that for € 7.50 per shipping carton, holding 10 small thank-yous, 4 boxes or 3 Christmas boxes. Volume discount: 5% from 25 boxes, 10% from 100 boxes per order.

Delivery

Delivery times are indicative; we do our best to meet them and tell you immediately if we cannot. Within the Randstad we deliver ourselves to one address on an agreed day. Beyond that we deliver ourselves from 25 boxes to one address; smaller orders are shipped per carton, to business addresses only; glass and jars are packed in protective material and the shipment is insured. If something does arrive damaged, report it within 2 working days with a photo and we send a replacement. Risk passes on delivery at the agreed address. If we cannot deliver within the agreed period, you hear so immediately and may cancel the order free of charge. For Christmas boxes the order deadline on the site applies; after that we deliver subject to availability.

Cancellation and termination

Until we have purchased from our suppliers you can cancel free of charge. After that we charge the purchasing costs already incurred; the deposit is set off against them. A standing order (monthly or on demand) runs for an indefinite period, is never tacitly renewed on different terms and can be terminated by email with one month's notice; stock already purchased or printed for your boxes is charged at cost on termination.

Products

The contents of a box may differ from the image or description if a product is unavailable; we then substitute something equivalent and tell you beforehand. All food is pre-packaged and carries the producer's label; each box comes with a contents card listing allergens and shelf life. Boxes containing alcohol are delivered to business addresses only; the recipient hands them out. We do not supply spirits or tobacco. Customers from other EU countries are treated the same as Dutch customers; shipping costs outside the Netherlands on request.

Complaints, force majeure and liability

Complaints: email info@metdank.nl or call 06 42 03 36 04. You get a response within 2 working days and a solution or clear proposal within 10 working days. If something is wrong on delivery, report it within 5 working days; we then resolve it with a replacement or credit. In case of force majeure (for example a supplier failing or extreme weather) we may suspend delivery or, in consultation, adjust the order. Delivered boxes remain our property until paid in full. Our liability is limited to the invoice amount of the order concerned.
